Get tickets for the kykNET Silwerskerm Film Festival and the Silwerskerm Awards for Film and Television gala event now
Are you a film fan who would love to watch a range of Afrikaans film premieres and rub shoulders with the who’s who in the local film and television industry?
If it’s a “yes”, you can now buy tickets to experience the magic of the kykNET Film Festival or the glitz and glamour of the inaugural kykNET Silwerskerm Awards for Film and Television. But hurry up! Tickets are limited.
For the first time, kykNET has made some tickets available that will give the public full access to the 11th Silwerskerm Film Festival, which is taking place at the Bay Hotel and Theatre on the Bay in Camps Bay, Cape Town, between 23 and 26 August 2023. For R400, you can attend all the festival activities, including the screenings of feature films, short films and documentaries. You can also watch the pilot episodes of some upcoming Afrikaans television series and join industry professionals at the festival’s workshops and group discussions.
A full festival pass costs R400, and a day pass costs R150.
In addition to the festival passes, you can buy a ticket to attend the glamorous award ceremony for the first kykNET Silwerskerm Awards for Film and Television, where outstanding work on our big and small screens will be honoured. The event is hosted at the CTICC on Saturday, 26 August. Blue carpet arrivals start at 16:00, and the awards ceremony strictly at 18:00. This gala event will also be filmed for television. It will be broadcast on kykNET (DStv Channel 144) the following evening (27 August) at 20:00, and the dress code is dazzling evening wear.
